Gyokeres has been making headlines all summer as Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United try to bring him to the Premier League. The striker is now in the spotlight once again as he has split with girlfriend Ines Aguiar, according to Correio da Manha.

A source has revealed: "Viktor doesn't want anything that ties him to Portugal, especially because he has already decided that he will not continue at Sporting next season. Before going on holiday, he spoke to Inês, explained what he felt and she was also prepared in a certain way, although it was something that was difficult for her, because she liked him a lot."

The duo's relationship looked to be over after Portuguese actress Ines missed the wedding of Gyokeres' Sporting team-mate Morten Hjulmand and Ines' close friend Emilie Sofie Nissen. The two have since gone on separate holidays, with Gyokeres flying out to Mykonos and Ines heading to Formentera.
